The Wax Rider Canvas Jacket is inspired by my grandfather and early Harley Davidson® motorcycle club jackets. The rider jacket pays homage him, who commuted weekly from the Mohican Indian Reservation to weld for Harley Davidson® during the 1950's and 1960's. When you wear it, you are wearing a jacket built to honor grandfather and his life. We built the jacket with his characteristics and values: resilience, bravery, honesty, dedication, strength, durability, and toughness.
Modifications from numerous Wisconsin moto-club jackets of the era have been incorporated into one jacket. We applied a banded collar, slimmed the sides, lengthened the back, and extended the arms. The wax canvas material has been made for the US military by the same family for seven generations. Go ahead - try to wear it out.
