The Thunderbird Jacket features custom stitching under the hunted deerskin collar and each left cuff has a hidden Thunderbird chain-stitched into it. Over time the Thunderbird will be etched into the cuff - as the jacket fades with the seasons - to face the West and the seasons of change which occur along your journey.
The denim for this run of jackets comes from the Nihon Menpu mill in Japan and uses a caramel colored weft instead of the traditional white. We think you're going to love the way it looks when the dark indigo starts to fade resulting in a superior, vintage fade.
Ginew, based in Portland, is the only Native American-owned denim line. Using meticulously sourced materials, Ginew incorporates elements of the founder's Ojibwe, Oneida, & Mohican heritage to express a contemporary Native American voice through premium apparel and accessories.
